PARK OVERVIEW
McLean Park is a North Myrtle Beach staple. It’s got a great location right off Main Street and just a couple blocks from the ocean. Nearby you’ll also find several restaurants, businesses, and hotels/resorts. Despite the prime location it still feels at home in the popular Ocean Drive Beach neighborhood.
One of its best features is the two acre lake that anchors the park. The city also hosts many special events here and rents out the shelter, gazebo and gardens.
PLAYGROUND FEATURES
The playground is divided into two sections by a short walking trail. The playground for younger kids features the standard slides and climbing options as well as a swing set. There are picnic tables and grills nearby in the wooded section close to this upper part of the playground.
The older kid playground is more focused on balance and climbing on rubberized ground cover. If you’ve got multiple kids who tend to separate in larger playground environments it should be fairly easy to keep an eye on both, especially if you stay near the upper playground for younger kids.
