The Best Pumpkin Patches in Myrtle Beach

We’re starting to see the weather cool and everyone is already decorating for fall. Hooray!!! If you still need to grab your pumpkins for decorating and carving then this guide to the pumpkin patches in Myrtle Beach (and a few beyond) should be helpful!

These are the big ones where you’ll pay an entry fee to enjoy all the experiences of the farm. They’ll also have pumpkins there but they’re much more than a pumpkin patch!

Thompsons Farm & Nursery | You’ll find tons of fall fun here, including small and large pumpkins. They’re open Friday–Sunday from mid-September until the end of October. Admission is $12, kids 2 and under are free.

Southern Palmetto Farms | This farm in Aynor is also full of farm fun plus a pumpkin patch. Their opening day is Sept 24, then in October they’ll be open Friday-Sunday until the end of the month. Admission is $12.

the smaller ones (church & ROAD SIDE)

These are smaller and usually hosted by a church or other small business. They’ll either have no entry fee or a minimal one. You’ll simply pay for your pumpkins and whatever other items/experiences you choose to enjoy.

Mary Beth’s Sustainable Foods | 11151 Ocean Hwy, Pawleys Island. Offering a variety of sizes and colors plus lots of other seasonal produce. 

Pittman’s Pumpkin Patch | 626 Pleasant Hill Road, Hamer (SC). This place looks like a hidden gem… will be trying to make it there this season!

Socastee UMC | 5575 Dick Pond Road, Myrtle Beach 

OPEN | Oct 11 until after Halloween (no notes on dates and times)

Trinity UMC | 706 14th Ave S, North Myrtle Beach

OPEN | Pumpkins delivered Sept 27th, no note on hours yet. They’re also having a fall festival on Oct 14, 10a–3p.

2nd Annual Community Pumpkin Patch at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church | 2105 Highway 501, Conway.

OPEN | Oct 8–31st. Monday–Saturday 10am–6pm & Sunday 1–6pm.

SPECIAL NOTES | Also having a Pumpkin Festival on Oct 21 from 11a–4p ($12 for a BBQ dinner, children under 5 free). 

Salem United Methodist Church | 2376 Hwy 90, Conway.

OPEN | Wed, Fri, Sat from 9a–3p

Cabana Christmas Trees & Pumpkin Patch | 27 Coachman Dr, Pawleys Island. 

OPEN | Oct 1–31, Mon–Sat 9am–5pm, Sun 9am–3pm. 

SPECIAL NOTES | Small but super cute with pumpkins, a hay maze, autumn treats, and photo opps. Also, check out their farm day on Oct 14.

Surfside UMC | 800 13th Avenue North, Surfside Beach.

NOTES | Pumpkins arrive on Sept 29th and will be open daily from 10am–8pm.

Indigo Farms Market | 1542 Hickman Road NW, Calabash, NC.

HOURS | Pumpkin patch is open from Sept 30th, 9a–12p and Oct 7th, 14th, and 21st from 9a–1p.

little farther but worth the drive

These are agro-tourism farms in our larger regional area. They’re all within a 2 hour drive so it’s not bad if you’re making a day trip out of it! Distances are noted below are from central MB.

Boondocks Adventure Farm | 3245 Pine Level Church Road, Nakina (NC). Only about ~45 minutes from central MB.

This is one our best new spots regionally! They have a lot going on in the fall and some really beautiful spaces. 

Stump Hill Farms | 2030 Ash Little River Road, Longwood (NC). ~45 minutes. Open every Saturday from Oct 7–28. Hours are 10a–6p.

CUKABURY FARMS | 107 Pleasant View Church Road, Fairmont (NC) | ~75 minutes. Every Saturday 10a–2p, fun on their little farm!

Galloway Farms | 370 Artesia Road, Hallsboro, NC | ~75 minutes. Open in late September through the first week of November. Fri–Sun, 10am–8pm. 

WHY GO | Home of the NC Maze Craze, one of the largest on the east coast. Plus so many other family-friendly features. 

McArthur Farms | 1708 Hwy 38 S, Bennettsville, SC. ~95 minutes. Sept 24–Oct 31. Open Fri–Mon, 9am–6pm, Sundays 1–6pm.

WHY GO | All the things you’d expect from a large agro-tourism farm! They have special events all fall long so check their schedule!

McLeod Farms | 29247 SC-151, McBee, SC. | ~2 hours. Open from Sept 30–Nov 4, Sat 9am–5pm, and weekdays 1–5pm (closed Mondays)

WHY GO | This is a big farm with a huge corn maze and U-PICK pumpkins… that is hard to find in this part of the state. You’re sure to find other great produce in their roadside market too.

Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch | 1235 Long Point Road, Mt Pleasant. | ~2 hours. Open Sept 30–Oct 30, Fri & Sat 10am–5pm, Sunday 12–5pm.

WHY GO | This event at the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation has grown to be one of the largest in the state and it includes a dozen or more fun activities!

WEST FARM in Moncks Corner | Corn maze, pumpkin barn, children’s area, hayrides, apple slingshot, and more. Open Wed-Sun during October. See website for specific hours. Admission is $11 for adults and kids 12+, $7 for children 3-11 and free under 2.

DREAMING FARMS in Charleston | Very cute and curated experience (judging by the website and social media photos). Lots of photo opps plus, live music and other kid-friendly experiences! Free, just pay for your pumpkins! Opens Sept 24.
