farmers market + park pairings

The perfect outing with kids is a farmers market stop + park. You can grab a drink, a snack and then let kids run out energy. Here are the details about which parks and which markets pair perfectly together.

Some of the THINGS YOU'LL FIND

I always plan on getting a drink from A Coffee Movement at the market. Some of the best coffee and lattes in the Grand Strand. They’re usually at Surfside and Conway plus they have some other fun locations for special events!

You’ll find plenty of sweet treats and Caseys CookieWorx is at the top of our list. I can’t hardly ever get one because my kids devour them the moment they’re unwrapped. Casey is an exceptional person and she makes exceptional cookies. There is also Sugar Moss who makes the oatmeal cookies featured by Crazy Mason in some of their insane concoctions.

Produce & Fresh Meats | There are many local farmers who bring their farm fresh produce & responsibly grown meats to the market. We love Thigpen Farms, Microledon Farms, Home Grown Farm and more.

Locals Making Beautiful Things | You’ll find jewelry, pottery, cutting boards and other crafted wood, plants, handmade soaps, and so much more! The perfect place to find something for yourself or a gift for any upcoming birthdays! Just a few of the super talented makers are: Hagan Trading Post, A Little Selah and Rooted Beauty.

Other markets in the area

We love the Waccamaw Market Cooperative because they are in the most convenient locations and you can find at least one market that works for your busy mama schedule. But there are a few other markets that happen regularly across the Grand Strand:

International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach | Thursdays: 12:30p – Until | 920 Crabtree Lane, Myrtle Beach | Smoked meats, sandwiches, baked goods, and more!

YMCA + K-Bar Farms | K-Bar Farms sets up at all three YMCA branches weekly. Here are the times and locations: Pawleys Island, Tuesdays 9a-1p; Georgetown, Tuesdays 3-6p; Myrtle Beach, Thursdays 9a-1p.

Georgetown Growers Market | Saturdays, 9am-1pm at 120 N Fraser Street

Myrtle’s Market | Corner of Mr. Joe White Ave & Oak Street | Wed, Fri, Sat 9a–3p

Owen’s Liquors in Pawleys Island | 1st and 3rd Saturday each month

We’ll be covering the markets all season so say hello if you see us there! Be sure to keep up with any changes on their FB and IG pages. You can also find which specific vendors will be there each week that way!
