STAR Academy is gearing up for summer and in addition to all their normal offerings like open play, preschool prep, family & me classes, parent workshops, and therapies they’re putting a big focus on:

STAR Academy is the first and only sensory-friendly indoor gym and learning center in the Grand Strand. Inside you’ll find lots of soft play, climbers, slides, swings, puzzles, games and hidden nooks that kids can sneak into for pretend play or just some quiet time. We did a whole post about the center here.

BIG DISCOUNT ON PARTIES BOOKED IN MAY & JUNE | A STAR Academy party is a hit with kids of all ages. These would be great for end-of-year school or sports parties, birthday parties, private events, or any other reason you can think of. Book in May or June for $75 off any party!
YOU GET THE WHOLE CENTER TO YOURSELF | One of the nicest things about booking a party at STAR is that you have 100% of the center. This makes it so great for kids and especially adults who don’t have to worry about chasing the kids all over a large space. There is even a great little exterior courtyard to setup tables and corn hole, water tables, sand tables and more.
LET THEM TAKE CARE OF THE DETAILS | Joanne and her team handle setup and clean-up and handle food, games, crafts and activities. Balloons, goodie bags, cupcakes, popcorn and lots of other add-on’s available. You can see the package options below and more details on their website.

summer camps & Pop-up summer classes
Summer camps are filling up fast across the Grand Strand –– and that’s true at STAR Academy too. They have about 5 spots available for each week so act fast… Here are some key things to know about how they run summer camps.
Bi-Weekly Summer Camps: June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24, and August 7. This is for ages 3–10. Can choose a 3-day per week option ($175) or all 5 days ($275). If your child enrolls for 2+ weeks then the price drops to $135 for 3-days and $225 for 5-days. Camp is from 9a–1p and activities include: yoga & stretching, arts & crafts, nature scavenger hunts, baking, jewelry making, tie-dying, music, science, and more.
Pop-up summer classes
POP-UP SUMMER CLASSES: For the weeks of June 5, June 19, July 3, July 17 and July 31 STAR will be open for special pop-up classes!
HOW DO THEY WORK: Each class is 1.5 hours long and all include time for indoor or outdoor sensory play.
PRICE: Most classes are $20 and include all supplies, materials and snack. If booking for multiple classes, a discount will apply. Register for any 3 for $52.
THEMES: These will focus on a fun theme/activity like surf camp, aerial yoga, jewelry making, baking/desserts, fingerprint art, writing class, sip & paint, decoupage, cricut designs, and more.
BEST FOR: Each class has an ideal age-range so check the descriptions for that info. Certain classes are designed to be drop-off but parents are also welcome to stay.
