The South Strand has six parks that feature a kid friendly playground. There are several more parks in the area without playgrounds but we will focus on the ones that are best for families with children.

Parks in surfside beach

All Children’s Park | 616 10th Avenue South, Surfside Beach

FEATURES | Well shaded. Picnic tables. Bathrooms. Fenced.

SUMMARY | One of the best in the South Strand. Big and completely fenced in. Two separate play structures helps it never feel crowded.

Fuller Park | 410 Surfside Drive

FEATURES | Well shaded. Nearby parking. Restrooms. Picnic tables. Fenced. Lighted tennis courts. Beside library.

SUMMARY | Only one play structure for a park that can get busy makes it feel crowded during peak times. Overall great park in a great location with great amenities.

Swing Bridge Park | 124 Kenzgar Drive

FEATURES | Well shaded. Easy parking. Water views. Restrooms. Well maintained play structure.

SUMMARY | Fun park in a residential area. Beware, you are near water!

Socastee Recreational Park | 7485 Butler Drive

FEATURES | Large sports complex. Shelters and picnic tables. Restrooms.

SUMMARY | Nice big playground in a huge sports complex. No shade on playground but shelters nearby.

Morse Park | 4939 US-17 Business

FEATURES | Shaded. Marsh views and boardwalk. Picnic tables. Kayak launch.

SUMMARY | Lovely little park with the most beautiful views. Must visit!

Morse Park in Murrells Inlet, SC

Cox Park | 470 Elizabeth Drive

FEATURES | Well shaded. Boardwalk to marsh. Portable potty.

SUMMARY | Small neighborhood park. Easy to keep an eye on kids and usually not crowded.
