I almost didn’t write this article. The last thing I need is for one more person to know how good the pizza is at Anto’s. The line is already down the block! But moms have to look out for each other, right?
Meet the dream team
Anto’s Pizza is the creation of Anthony and Carly Ludovici-DeBrigida, a husband-and-wife team whose passion for authentic Italian pizza shines through every detail of their business. Anthony, a lifelong pizzaiolo, learned his craft in his family’s Philadelphia restaurant before bringing his expertise — and his heart — to South Carolina. Carly brings the warmth and hospitality that make Anto’s feel less like a restaurant and more like a family gathering.
It’s one thing to be named “best pizza on the South Carolina Coast”, but Anthony’s dedication also earned him first prize at the Pizza World Cup in Rome last month — a recognition that places him among the best pizza makers in the world! It’s a remarkable achievement, but not a surprising one for those who’ve tasted that hot-honey pepperoni slice!
Every pizza at Anto’s is made with intention: authentic Italian flour, carefully fermented dough, imported ingredients, and a process rooted in tradition. The result? A crust that’s crisp yet airy, flavor that’s balanced and rich, and toppings that let the ingredients shine.
Anto’s offers both Roman-style “al taglio” pizza — baked in rectangular trays and served by the slice — and New York-style pies, each crafted with care. The restaurant itself exudes warmth: family photos, soft lighting, and the unmistakable scent of fresh dough and olive oil.
a conway treasure
In a town known for its charm, Anto’s stands out — not just for its world-class pizza, but for the heart behind it. Anthony and Carly have created more than a restaurant; they’ve created a community. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch, enjoying a family night out, or celebrating a special occasion, Anto’s feels like the right place to be. So yes, the line might be long. But it’s worth every minute!
