Polar Express!!! It’s become an iconic Christmas movie, theme, and experience. And many places have re-created that magic minus the actual train part. Here are the best ways to experience the Polar Express in Myrtle Beach (or nearby).

POLAR EXPRESS CRUISE | Dec 1–23 (select dates), 6pm on The Barefoot Queen
The Polar Bus Express | Departs from The Market Common on Fridays and Saturdays in December. Tickets are $40 for adults and kids.
Polar Express Movie Night | Polar Express movie showing on Dec 8th in Georgetown
POLAR EXPRESS AT MB TRAIN DEPOT | Dec 1, 5–8pm. It’ll feature hot chocolate, popcorn, letters to Santa, holiday story time, and an outdoor showing of “The Polar Express”.
Polar Express Outdoor Showing | Dec 9, Surfside Beach. Hot cocoa and popcorn plus other food for purchase.
Polar Explorer Cruise | Dec 21, 22, and 23. Not exactly Polar Express but a similar idea… and on a boat!
Shoo Fly Express | Thursday–Sunday at Christmas Village at Town Green in Conway. Rides are offered from 6–8pm for $1 per person.
The Christmas Train | The little train will weave around the Hammock Shops on Saturdays and Sundays in December (until Dec 17) from 1–5pm

The South Carolina Railroad Museum has Santa train rides for the first 3 Saturdays in December. The museum is in Winnsboro, SC which is about 3 hours away and just north of Columbia. Would be a great chance to see the lights at Riverbanks Zoo too! Tickets are $15 for anyone 3+ and under 2 is free.
The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is the realest of real experiences you’ll find in the Carolinas. This is in Bryson City, NC which is about 6 hours from Myrtle Beach. We rode the train in April but would love to do the Polar Express ride one day! Rides begin on Nov 9 and run through Dec 31 with multiple departures per day. Tickets start at $43. Tickets go fast!!!
The NC Transportation Museum also offers Polar Express Train rides with the authentic merchandise. Their rides start on Nov 10 and run through Dec 23. Tickets start at $34. Spencer is about 4 hours from Myrtle Beach.
