Myrtle Beach is known for it’s shows. And there are plenty of options for family-friendly Christmas shows in Myrtle Beach. We’ve got a solid list right here and some reviews of the ones we’ve seen too!

shows we've seen!

Magic and Mayhem | Nov 17–Jan 1 at Broadway Theater

The Broadway Theater does an excellent job with their shows! It’s a wonderful venue with stadium seating, great lighting, affordable concessions and it’s conveniently located at Broadway at the Beach.

ABOUT THE SHOW | This show solely features Dizzy and his wife, Janna. It’s about 2 hours total with one intermission halfway through. It’s full of comedy, magic, mind-reading, and some of Dizzy’s best antics (balloon skit and the old-man costume).

BEST FOR | Most of the card tricks and mind-reading portions are best appreciated by older kids and adults because you really have to stay focused on the dialogue and quick transitions to catch stuff. Some of the magic is even lost on the younger kids so I think 7+ is the ideal age for kids to appreciate this one.

OTHER TIPS & NOTES | There are some truly impressive skills on display in this show and even a meaningful message at the end. It’s much less about theatrics and more about engaging with the audience so it’s fun to experience that back-and-forth. Dizzy is a great entertainer and he keeps the show lively. Def recommend but be mindful of how much your youngest kids will be able to follow before determining if it’s a family adventure or a date night!

DISCOUNT CODE | The theater is offering a 30% discount with code SANTA30 so be sure to use that to snag your tickets!

THE WONDERS OF CHRISTMAS | Nov 13–Dec 31

Charles Bach is an illustionist who has performed on many different stages. He headlines this incredible show full of magic, holiday music, dancing and more. Kids

ABOUT THE SHOW | It’s about 1.5 hours with a short intermission. This is a smaller theater and you’re very close to the stage. It’s at Broadway, just beside Dave & Buster’s. The show features Charles and two lady assistants and it’s full of magic and audience interaction.

BEST FOR | I think kids 5+ will do best but even younger kids will stay pretty entertained. Most of the magic is large-scale and flashy enough to keep a younger kid engaged. There are a few parts that require more focused attention (card tricks, sand art, mind-reading) but the speed quickly picks back up.

KIDS WILL LOVE | This show does really bring it home with two huge elements that the kids will love –– SNOW and SANTA!!! My 6 year old was able to follow quite a few of these tricks and truly was mesmerized by some of the bigger/riskier magic acts.
