Collins Park is just a few blocks northwest from downtown Conway. It’s got all you could want in a small city park and well worth a visit if you aren’t familiar with it. Read on for the full review and list of features.
SUMMARY: Great location with great park equipment and plenty of space.
park overview
This playground is big and sprawling. There are several different sections for kids and adults to enjoy. The park is mostly fenced in but it’s a very large area so don’t rely on that to keep the kids contained enough to let your guard down.
The park also has covered picnic shelters, tennis courts, pickleball, basketball, and a walking path. There are well maintained restrooms and plenty of parking in the parking lot and nearby streets.
There are a few benches around the perimeter and those will catch shade from the nearby trees. This is a pretty park with a fountain, some statues, and a little stone/rock memory garden.
NEW PLAY STRUCTURE | This extra tall structure has three twisty slides and a big climbing element for older kids. It’s a great addition to the park and older kids will love it.
playground overview
There is one main play structure with a shade canopy over it. And that’s a good thing because the main play area is directly in the sun most of the day. The older play structure has lots of openings from a decent height and has had some broken elements for a while. Little kids should be cautious on this.
There is also a long row of swings and a balance/climbing structure.
The park also offers some beautiful spots to walk around. There are some small statues and gorgeous flowers in the area opposite all the playground equipment.
