PARK OVERVIEW
It may feel like you’re driving into the great unknown as you venture to this place but once you get there you’ll be rewarded.
The complex is large and has recreation options for all ages and interests. The park is a whopping 91 acres full of walking trails, a disc golf course, basketball courts, beach volleyball court, tennis courts, archery range, and a remote control car track. There are also shelters to rent and plenty of picnic tables.
PLAYGROUND FEATURES
As for the playground itself, it’s close to parking and the restrooms. This park recently (Fall 2024) got a big upgrade. The play structures are new as is the artificial turf. There is a zipline/track ride feature, swings, low playground equipment good for very young kids, and a much larger play structure. There are some benches nearby as well as sheltered picnic area and bathrooms.
other park amentities
The remote control car track is an especially unique feature. It appears to be accessible on a first come, first served basis but check first by calling the park and seeing if tournaments or other events are happening there. The BADLANDS RC SUPERCROSS GROUP is very active with races and other events here.
Another big appeal to the park is the disc golf course. It gets great reviews and many comments about how challenging it is on the PARK’S GOOGLE REVIEWS page. The Professional Disc Golf Association also has a page with the course details.
