Myrtle Beach isn’t known for strawberry farming but if you’re willing to make a 30+ minute drive then you’ve got options. And if you’re willing to go even farther (1.5 – 2 hours) your possibilities are almost endless. Here is a rundown of the best farms for strawberry picking in Myrtle Beach and beyond!

TYLER’S PRODUCE | 4800 US Highway 378 in Conway, SC
WHEN | Should have berries by early April. It’s best to call to ensure they’re open and berries are available. Their social media presence and pages are unreliable.
This is a certified SC Grown U-Pick Strawberry Farm that also offers other seasonal produce such as onions, tomatoes and much more. We went there in 2023 and 2024. It’s a no-frills type place –– just the berries and a farm produce store but their berries are plentiful and it’s not too far outside central Conway.
LynN’S BERRIES | 3291 Highway 19 in Conway, SC
WHEN | As of mid-March they’re starting to get a few berries and open on select days. Check FB or call ahead!
Another great Conway option is Lynn’s Berries. They’re active on Facebook so you can follow along to see when berries are ripe and plentiful. But calling ahead to double check is still a good idea.

Indigo Farms Market | 1542 Hickman Road NW in Calabash, NC
WHEN | Berries still ripening… wait for more info on when you-pick is available.
Just across the state line in NC you’ll find Indigo Farms which prioritizes sustainable and organic practices whenever possible. You can also look for them in the farmers markets around Myrtle Beach.

Black Mingo Produce | 4490 Rose Hill Road in Georgetown, SC
WHEN | As of mid-March no word on berries yet. Once they start producing they’ll be open daily for pre-picked and also offer you-pick.
Just down the road in Georgetown is a family farm currently being run by the 5th generation. They offer more than just strawberries too. They’ve got beef, milk, baked goods, flowers, and more!
Home Sweet Farm | 1101 Highway 67 in Loris, SC
WHEN | Not open for you-pick yet but planning to. They have some pre-picked available and have plenty of other produce at their on-site market plus ice-cream. They will have you-pick tomatoes later in the season.
They’ll have other seasonal produce throughout the summer. They make jams and jellies too! Check their FB page for updates or call at (843) 333-0460.
LANGSTON RANCH | 3603 Union School Road, Coward, SC
WHEN | Planning to be open for You-Pick every Saturday from April 12th until May 10th from 10a–5pm. They have a beautiful space with lots of photo opps. It’s worth the drive.

Poston’s Strawberries | 4472 Mill House Road in Johnsonville, SC
Johnsonville is 46 miles from Myrtle Beach, 60 miles from North Myrtle, and 51 miles from Surfside Beach. This farm will be a little drive from anywhere but they’ve been in the berry business for years and do it right.

LOW COUNTRY STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL AT BOONE HALL | April 4-6 and 11-13. Mt Pleasant. This is like the granddaddy one for the area. Check out all the activities they have lined up. Well worth the drive down!

Powers Strawberries & Farm Market | This farm on the north side of Lumberton, NC is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Myrtle Beach. They do a family day on the farm featuring lots of vendors, strawberry picking, and more. TBD on that date for 2023.
McLeod | This farm is just over 2 hours from Myrtle Beach in McBee, SC but it is a great farm destination for strawberries, peaches, blackberries and more. They also have special events throughout the year so it is a good day trip destination.
Richburg Farms | In just under 2 hours you can arrive in Manning, SC and be rewarded with the delicious strawberries at Richburg Farms. Look for their muscadine grapes in August and pumpkins in October.
McArthur Farms | Going to Bennettsville, SC might be too far just to pick berries but keep them in mind if you want a whole day to celebrate strawberries! They have their ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL the first Saturday in May each year and it’s worth the drive!
Lewis Farms | This farm in Wilmington, NC is a berry destination! They have 35 acres of winter strawberries that grow in tunnels plus 140 acres of spring strawberries, 400 acres of blueberries and 55 acres of blackberries. They offer you-pick strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. Their seasonal market is open from late March to early July. Check them out!
CAROL SUE FARMS | Carol Sue seems like a lady I’d like to know. Her farm in Hampstead, NC has the cutest little logo! Go for pick your own strawberries but make a note to return for her blueberries later in the summer too.
