parades
Ride Into Style Golf Cart Parade | July 1, 11am. Not exactly a 4th of July parade and will not have candy thrown but there are other things happening – sidewalk sales, music and more.
Pawley’s Island Parade | July 4, 10:00am. Just cross over the causeway and you’ll be in the right spot! Register to enter the parade by stopping by the Town Hall.
TOWN OF SURFSIDE GOLF CART PARADE | July 4, 11:00am. The parade route runs along Ocean Boulevard.
Garden City Wet Golf Cart Parade | July 4, 3pm. Not entirely sure what to expect from this one… except that you’ll get wet. See link for more info!
MURRELLS INLET BOAT PARADE | July 4, 6pm. Plus there is live music all day!

*Note: The fireworks displays by the ocean/inlet are much better and longer than the regularly occurring ones at Barefoot and Broadway.
Barefoot Landing | Fireworks begin at 10pm on July 4th.
CHERRY GROVE PIER IN NMB | Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
Broadway at the Beach | 4th of July fireworks begin at 10pm.
2nd Avenue Pier | Fireworks begin at 9pm.
MarshWalk | Fireworks begin at 10pm.
Georgetown | Fireworks begin at 9pm at East Bay Park.

13TH ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY 5K | This 5k and 1 mile fun run happens in Market Common at 7am. Participants are encouraged to dress festively!
5TH ANNUAL RED, WHITE AND BLUE 5K | This race is held at Barefoot Landing at 7am on July 1. There is a 50 yard untimed Kids Dash at 8am. Costumes and festive attire are encouraged!
4th of July Play Day + BBQ at STAR Academy | Sat, July 1, 12–3pm. There will be BBQ, crafts, face-painting and play! This is a special fundraiser event for a local family in need so all proceeds will go to them. Cost is $36 per family.
SALUTE FROM THE SHORE | See the schedule to see when to expect the planes to be over your part of the Grand Strand.
Surfside 4th of July Celebration | The celebration is from 5-8pm in Memorial Park. Expect giveaways, food trucks, bounce houses and live music.
Hometown 4th of July | The Kaminski House in Georgetown is hosting a patriotic concert on their lawn from 6:30-8:30pm on July 4th. Bring a chair and snacks then make your way over to enjoy the fireworks from East Bay Park.
Wave That Flag | July 2–3, 5–10pm at Retreat Park in Pawleys Island. Expect music, food, vendors, lazer light show and more.
Pelicans Baseball Red, White & Blue Weekend | Games from June 30 to July 3 all have fireworks after the game.
