There is a fun and free event coming up on November 4th that must be on your radar if you love or are pursuing golf as a family. Founders Group International, a group of 21 of the Grand Strand’s best courses, is continuing their work to make golf a family sport with this upcoming clinic. So what’s it all about…

what is a golf clinic and who should go?
Golf clinics are similar to a group lesson for children that focus on the basics of the game. The Coastal Carolina University men’s golf team will lead kids in: golf swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and pitching, golf etiquette and sportsmanship.
There will also be some fun games to keep children engaged and the excitement of meeting some local collegiate athletes!
what are the benefits of a junior clinic?
A group lesson can be more fun and motivating than individual lessons for beginning golfers. It can also be encouraging for young players to see how older players have mastered the game and gone onto compete at a collegiate level.
The benefits of the game of golf overall are also important: low-impact activity, improves concentration, requires patience, great for socialization and family-time, increases time outdoors, focus on self-improvement over time vs competition with others.

SPEND TIME ON THE DRIVING RANGE | Our kids ages (at ages 4 and 7) enjoy trips to the driving range which are inexpensive and a good way to get early exposure to swinging.
First Tee Grand Strand | There are several courses around the Grand Strand that offer programming for kids ages 7+. These 1.5 hour long sessions are $75 with financial assistance available.
