Mermaid Adventure Swim
Swim lessons are a hot topic here and understandable why –– it’s a skill all should have, especially people like us who live near so much water! There are two big ways you can get swim lessons: 1) In a group setting at a local facility (something like the YMCA) or 2) From a private instructor. Personally I think the group setting thing is an excellent way to introduce water familiarity but when you want to get serious about learning to actually swim you need a private instructor.

1. Lynn is a former classroom teacher so she has the heart and patience needed to work with young kids who are learning new things for the first time. All kids ages 3+ are welcome to start lessons!
2. She’s a literal swim pro. She has been a lifelong competitive swimmer and this is her passion. She knows this sport/skill inside out. So if your child can already swim and wants to become competitive or just work on skills then Lynn would be excellent for that too!
3. Her prices are really reasonable and you can buddy up for swim lessons or do sibling pairs. Standard price is $30 for a 30 minute lesson for up to 2 kids or a package of 10 lessons for $250.
4. Can accommodate a larger group of friends/neighbors. Lynn & team will teach a larger group if you want to form one within your friend group or neighborhood. If that is the case then lessons can happen at your local/community pool, otherwise her instruction site is at The Links Golf & Racquet Club in NMB. This is a good option for homeschool groups too!
5. Flexible scheduling. Lynn & team offer lessons Monday–Saturday before noon or in the late afternoon/evening hours. Now through March is the ideal time to start your lessons or at least get booked with the team. Once the weather warms up everyone will be wanting in and availability gets harder.
