New Year’s Eve is coming! There are a few fun family events that will ensure you and the kids are in bed at your normal time. Here are some ideas for New Year’s Eve in Myrtle Beach – with kids!

Countdown to Noon Year’s at HCM Library | **NOTE–THIS IS ON FRI, DEC 30**  The Conway branch and Little River branch are having noon year’s countdowns on Friday, December 30 at 11am. Those are the only two branches I see with a special NYE event right now.

LuLu’s Noon Year’s Eve | 4954 Hwy 17S, NMB. The fun starts at 10am. Includes face painting, live music and beach ball drop.

NOON YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION AT STAR ACADEMY | 647 Main Street, NMB. This party starts at 10:30am and includes music, noisemakers, a special balloon drop, an OJ toast, refreshments and fun play in STAR’s sensory-friendly gym. All for just $20.23 for kids (adults free).

MUSEUM OF COASTAL CAROLINA NOON YEARS EVE | 21 E 2nd Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Starting at 11am families can visit the museum for party hats and noisemakers and a fireworks experiment. Then head over to Town Center Park for a countdown to the beach ball pinata drop from the OIB Fire Dept ladder truck.

Studio 43*19 New Years Eve Celebration | 4811 US Hwy 17 Bypass South, Suite 4 in Myrtle Beach. Drop the kids off at 10:30am for 2 hours of fun mocktails, pizza, party hats, a ball drop and of course, ART! Cost is $45.

Dave & Buster’s NYE Party for the Whole Family | From 4–7pm the whole family can enjoy an appetizer buffet + dessert, unlimited soda, a $20 Power Card, ginger ale toast, and party hats & favors. Other things to please the kids include face painting, magic, balloon twisting, and temporary tattoos. Cost is $37.21 per person. 

Countdown to Noon at MB Bowl | From 11am–1pm bring the kids to enjoy Glow-N-Bowl, shoe rental and party favors in a NYE celebration just for families.

Skate All Night | Fun Warehouse has a couple of different options to keep the kids (and adults) buy on NYE. You can skate all night, starting at 5pm and go until 1am or even all the way until 7am the next day!

SURFSIDE BOWLING CENTER | There are two time slot options… Pick the 3–7pm one for a family-friendly activity. $70 reserves a lane for up to 6 people, shoes, campagne toast (for the adults), noisemakers, party hats, etc. Option to upgrade for food, apps, and drinks too.

Lakewood Camping Resort Polar Plunge | This event is open to the public and benefits the local NPO, Help 4 Kids. Registration runs until Dec 31 at 1:30pm for $5 and a donation of two non-perishable food items. Anyone not staying at the campground who wishes to participate should visit the front desk in the campground’s main building.

Noon Year’s Party at Ripley’s Aquarium | Join in on this family-friendly celebration when you purchase regular admission. The celebration from 11am–1pm will include a live DJ, an appearance by the Ripley’s mascot, a mermaid dive show, crafts, prizes and more.

first day hikes

HIKE THE SANDPIPER POND NATURE TRAIL (2.5 miles) | Hike begins at 10am at the North Beach parking lot.

ADVICE FROM A PARK DWELLER | Meet at the Nature Center at 1pm for a short hike to absorb some fun life-lessons from nature. The walk will include opportunities to imitate nature through motions, sounds and activities.
