fall festivals within 3 hours of myrtle beach
We love being in the Grand Strand but we also love being able to travel and explore regionally. These fall festivals make a day/road trip even more exciting! Here are the best fall festivals within 3 hours of Myrtle Beach that we’ve got our eye on.
Why We Want to Go | For one, Aynor is not that far away. And secondly, I grew up going to the kind of thing that would classify as a hoe-down, so this feels familiar. Plus the event is touted as one of the oldest and largest festivals in the Carolinas.
Why We Want to Go | Golly, unlimited amounts of sweet tea is really the only reason we need. But the town also looks super cute, I want a picture in front of that mural and there is a giant glass of sweet tea around town that I must find also.
Why We Want to Go | It’s hard to get many apple festival options where we live so the fact that this is within a 3 hour drive is thrilling! And again, Summerville looks like a super charming place to explore!
Why We Want to Go | Laurinburg is a place we drive through often but we’ve never stopped. This festival looks like the perfect invitation. The John Blue house looks gorgeous and I saw a photo from the festival that looked like collard greens on top of a pancake so I’m dually intrigued.
Why We Want to Go | It’s pretty close (~50 minutes) and it celebrates the heritage of this favorite fall food. There is a sweet potato cookoff, a pageant, vendors, a kid-zone and more.
Why We Want to Go | This is one of NC’s biggest fall festivals with over 130 vendors, 2 stages for live music, and plenty of education about the history of cotton in the area.
