Putt-putt or mini-golf is a popular activity in Myrtle Beach among tourists and locals alike. And there are an overwhelming number of options — how to choose!?

We’ve set out to make a list of our favs plus notes about their hours, discounts, and ADA-friendliness with the help of a local mom. Check that out below!

unique mini-golf spots

Ripley’s Crazy Golf | 915 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach

SUMMARY | This all-indoor course does not disappoint. There is one 18-hole course with each hole offering a crazy new challenge. The course is spread out over 3 floors but it is stroller and ADA-friendly with elevators. Inside you’ll see lots of neon colors and blacklight elements. The holes are short but pretty challenging. Some favorites are the zipline hole and the toilet hole. Good news — locals get 30% discount!

BE AWARE | This one will get busy in the summer and rainy days. It also might be overwhelming to some kids with the colors, noise and ever-changing challenge of each hole. Paid parking is available on the street and lots around Ocean Blvd.

Popstroke | Key West Village of Broadway

This mini golf course replicates the dynamics of a traditional course with rough, bunkers and subtle hills. It’s a more grown-up version of putt-putt but it’s a beautiful course and the Popstroke atmosphere is fun. There is also a full service restaurant and fenced playground for kids to enjoy. See our full review of Popstroke here

810 Billiards & Bowling in The Market Common has an “indoor haunted pirate” mini-golf course. It’s $10 per person with kids 4 and under free.

Lava Louie’s Challenge at Molten Mountain also has a fully indoor 18-hole mini-golf course.

We have a quick summary of several of the larger/more popular options below. Things we were looking for and note are: fun and challenging course, friendliness of staff, creativity of design/theme, and cleanliness/maintenance. We’ve also made note of ADA accessibility, prices, discounts and seasonal hours.

Operates on a seasonal schedule – check before going.

ADA Accessible

Mt Atlanticus Minotaur Goff | 707 N Kings Hwy

This is an iconic course just across the highway from the boardwalk and old pavilion area. There are two courses – The Conch goes up high into those huts for most of the course (it’s very high) while the Minotaur course is more ground level. We loved the Minotaur course most! They just refreshed the paint so the course is Iooking very fresh (March 2024). It’s a solid choice.

PRICES + DISCOUNT: Day rounds are $10/$12 and night rounds are $12/$14 with 10% off for locals.

Captain Hooks | 2205 N Kings Hwy, MB

Offering two Peter Pan themed courses with fun animatronics, lights, fog and sound effects. Course has some age but is still in good condition and holes are appropriately challenging. Another solid choice.

PRICES + DISCOUNT | Day rounds $10.75/$11.75 and night rounds are $11.75/$12.75. All day play is $15.75. They do offer a $1 off local discount.

Cancun Lagoon | 2101 S Kings Hwy, MB

They offer three courses with 9-holes each. When paying you’ll select which 2 courses you want to do. A unique thing about this course is the Spinners element. Some holes have a wheel to spin that adds a fun new element to the game. Solid choice.

PRICES + DISCOUNT | $9.50/$12.75; they offer a $1 coupon you can get from their website for play before 6pm.

Spy Glass | 3801 N Kings Hwy #2714, MB

Offers one 18-hole course through a pirate ship and caves. There are some stairs and no benches along the course and little shade so it’ll be hot in the summer. But it is an engaging course with good theming and cannon balls spewing into the water. Good choice.

PRICES + DISCOUNT | $11 with $1 discount available

Jurassic Golf | 2900 S Kings Hwy, MB

This course was so fun! The Predator course is the more challenging one and had elements we’d never seen before — it even had some par 4s! The Ice Age course is fun also. Overall this is very clean, offers some photo ops, picnic area, corn hole, and Dippin’ Dots. Solid choice.

PRICES + DISCOUNTDay rounds $10.75/$11.75 and night rounds are $11.75/$12.75. All day play is $15.75. They do offer a $1 off local discount.

Shipyard Island | 3301 S Ocean Blvd, MB

The course is very clean and offers some fun uphill and downhill challenges. You’ll work around water, onto the ship and across bridges. The course has several benches but not a lot of shade. There is an area with picnic tables and they serve ice cream and beer. The final holes are fun with a big downhill that kids will be tempted to try and retry. Solid choice.

RED DRAGON COVE | 2001 S Kings Hwy, MB

We *loved* this brand-new course. We were impressed with the creativity and uniqueness of each hole. Both courses were equally challenging and fun. Dean Team Adventures just reviewed this one too and raved about it (see their video, starts around the 8 minute mark). It’s a top pick!

LOST MINE | 2601 N Ocean Blvd, MB

A single 18-hole course in the heart of town and across from Anderson Ocean Club and Spa. Guests of this resort and others get to play here free during the day. It’s a small course with short holes and probably best suited to guests of the hotels and other visitors staying right on Ocean Blvd. Not a top pick.

PRICES + DISCOUNT | $10 for all; free for hotel guests

RAINBOW FALLS | 9850 N Kings Hwy, MB

This course felt a little too easy with very little creativity and theme incorporated. This might be best for families with very young kids. Not a top pick.
