Parks & Outdoor

historical & educational
The Horry County Museum is surprisingly large and comprehensive. It’s not a kid-focused museum but it does have elements that kids will enjoy (the fish tank, animals of Horry County, and Native American dwelling replica).
Then there is the Conway Library, which has the most amazing back wall of windows of any other library in the county!
And the LW Paul Living History Museum which is a free living history farm that preserves life in rural Horry County circa 1900.
Shopping
There are some really cute shops in Conway and more coming all the time. Here are some we enjoy…
Mountain Main Honey | All kinds of honey-centered items. Great whipped honey.
Papa’s General Store | Apparel, outdoor gear, accessories, etc.
Black Water Market | You’ll have to walk inside to see all the businesses accessible from this one storefront.
Oak & Ivy | A cute little children’s boutique.
FOOD
There is a lot of good food in Conway too! We are slowly working our way through town. Here is what we’ve tried and enjoyed so far.
Pickled Cucumber | A good “meat and three” type place.
Trestle Bakery | We’ve stopped in for bagels but not had a proper sit-down meal.
Coastal Cookie Dough | A little ways out of the downtown area but worth the drive for their 24+ flavors of edible cookie dough.
